Those wanting to serve as Jail Ministers in the the Benton County Sheriff's Office must complete an application, submit to fingerprinting and a background investigation, a reference check and attend a Jail Ministry Orientation Class. Click here for a complete list of application requirements. When applying, be sure to include a copy of your birth certificate or passport, your social security card and drivers license. Also include a recommendation letter from your pastor, priest or other appropriate spiritual leader. We welcome your application but have limited openings and will offer openings to those with completed applications in the order they are received. Upon submitting an application, please be patient while we process it. Sometimes it takes extra time when your references do not respond to our requests for information, or if your application is incomplete. |
